New Foundations for Mathematical Physics
Preface: A book with the above title was originally planned as a sequel to New Foundation for Classical Mechanics to complete the GC foundations for classical physics -- a necessary step before adoption in undergraduate courses is likely to be considered. The two completed chapters below provide a fairly compact and thorough introduction to GA and GC. They were written about 1980, and were to be followed by chapters on classical field theory, continuum mechanics, electrodynamics and optics. The project was set aside to deal with more pressing matters, and it now appears that DH is unlikely to complete it in the foreseeable future.
